Although I did not grow up in a Christian home, I did grow up in a very loving and supportive home. As I grew up sports started to have a major influence in my life. They were what my life revolved around and because of that I stayed out of trouble. If you asked me as a young teen if I thought I was going to heaven I would have said yes because I was a good kid and I thought that’s what it took. At that point God started to work in my life through a girl that would become my wife, Liz.

Through our relationship and a series of circumstances I would come to know Liz’s father, Pat Nemmers. The first time we met, Pat opened up his bible showed me scripture and shared his testimony with me. It was the first time in my life anyone had done that. After that night we started a Bible study and through that and Pats ministry me, I would come to know The Lord on May 21st, 2008. “Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.” Romans 10:9-10

We are so thankful God led us to High Pointe Church. “Oh taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him! Oh, fear the Lord, you his saints, for those who fear lack no good thing.” Psalm 34:8-9.
