Our Story

My name is Greg Pollak and I am the lead pastor at High Pointe Church. Maybe you are asking yourself…Why are we planting a church in Altoona? There are many reasons, but primarily because God has led me to share the gospel with people, and there are a lot of people in Altoona. Read my personal story here.

THE ENGAGE NETWORK

High Pointe Church was commissioned by the Engage network on January 2012. Saylorville Church was led to plant their first church, Lakeside Fellowship, in Polk City, IA in 2007. In 2009, Saylorville Church planted their 2nd church, Living Waters Fellowship, on the south side of Des Moines. High Pointe Church is the 3rd church to be planted, right here in Altoona, IA. You can read more about it here. Redeemer Church is the 4th church to be planted in July of 2014 in Winterset, IA. New City Church is the 5th church to be planted which is located in Ankeny.
