I grew up in a Christian home, my family attended the E-Free church in our local town. While having many opportunities to attend Christian concerts, church camps, and many services, God’s Word was poured into me.
When I was 7 years old God was convicting me of my sins in my life and my need of a savior. As explained in Ephesians 2:8-9…
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourselves it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
It also talks about in Isaiah 64:6 that our righteous deeds are like polluted garments of filthy rags. At this point I knew there was no other way to God than to repent and go to his son Jesus to ask forgiveness of my sins against a Holy God that he would save me from his wrath to come that He spoke about in John 3:36.
It says in John 3:16…
For God so loved the world He gave his only son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.
I asked Jesus to come into my life to save me and lead me in the way that He would have me go. I am still a sinful person but through God’s sanctification in my life he is continuing to grow me spiritually to be what he wants me to become.
